How to speed up load times in DAoC / Support / Forums

Note: This only pertains if you are using Windows Defender for Antivirus. If you use other tools, you will need to perform similar actions within that tool.

1. Press the Windows key and type "Windows Security" then click "Open"

2. On the left, click "Virus & Threat protection" and then "Manage Settings"

3. Scroll down to the Exclusions section and click "Add or remove exclusions"

4. Click the button "+ Add an exclusion" then click "Process" from the dropdown menu

5. Type in "game.dll"

6. Then click "Add" and if UAC prompt pops up, click "Yes" to confirm the new entry.

7. Under "+ Add an exclusion", you should now see:

game.dll
Process

8. Load DAoC as normal to see the benefits.
